CECE’s changing expression reflects the effect that the clock can have on us. Her mood is directly connected to the continuous movement of the clock. Does the clock control how she feels?

Our modern world relies heavily on the order and rhythm of the clock. We’re fixated on productivity; on squeezing the most out of every minute; on staying in motion regardless of how it makes us feel.
But clock time is not our only experience of time. Lived time is the experience of time that is determined by our natural rhythms. It takes into account who and where we are and it is cyclical rather than linear.
What would it look like to make more space for this more natural experience of time?

Good Empire cuts three birch plywood pieces to the size I need.
A.bliss mounting specialists glue the print onto the plywood.
Each piece is assembled and hand-finished by me to ensure the highest quality
Designed with sustainability & recycling in mind.
90% of the piece is made of renewable materials. The only plastic parts, the clock mechanisms, can be separated to be recycled or replaced.
